How do I fit mudguards to a road bike when there aren't any eyelets?
Plenty of us at the start of our cycling journey ask this question. We have just bought the bike a few months ago, are enjoying the open road but realise that we would get more miles in commuting to work. Commuting at the start is great, but in the winter work clothes and backpack get muddy.
We need mudguards!
There are plenty of mudguard choices but the best looking are the full fit mudguards that go the whole way around our wheel. The problem with these are the are usually a nightmare to fit!
If you are having a problem fitting your mudguards to your road or hybrid bike without eyelets, or are sick of the little rubber bands that go around the frame moving and making the mudguard rub against the wheel, then you should consider the 76 Projects Mudguard "fitter" or "tab" (there isn't quite a name for these yet as they are so new).
It makes it easier to fit the mudguards, stabilises the mudguards and makes you life a whole lot easier.
