Rumpl is a new outdoor sports brand from San Francisco aiming to create the most technical blanket in the world. Each Rumpl is made of 20D Ripstop Nylon with DWR which is water, stain, and odour resistant. Ripstop fabrics are woven fabrics manufactured with a special reinforcing technique that makes them resistant to tearing and ripping. During weaving, (thick) reinforcement threads are interwoven at regular intervals in a crosshatch pattern. The aim is to stop a rip once a tear occurs, hence "ripstop". The technology is popular in parachutes and waterproof jackets.
